James Allen Sharwood travelled to India and the Orient to bring new spices to the West.

An avid traveler, fluent in four languages, Mr. Sharwood introduced Green Label Mango Chutney along with curry powders, pickles, and chutneys to India to the UK.

Sharwood was impressed by Vencatachellum’s famed curry powder and brought ‘Jasvett’ to Britain.

J A Sharwood supplied the prestigious Cunard ocean liners with foodstuff.
